The year that was 23/24 🤍

As we head back into Wedding Season again (what?!), let’s have a moment for some of our beautiful Brides, whom we are always sad to say goodbye to, but wait with eager anticipation for sneak peak photos from.

Dressmaking and Such worked with close to 200 brides from July 2023 to July 2024.
It was a year!
It was non stop, but oh so rewarding.

Owning your own business is not for the faint hearted, it takes passion, persistence, grit and the ability to back yourself even when doubts creep in questioning if you can actually do this.

There were many wee hours of the mornings where gowns were completed, (but that’s when a true creative does their best work right?)

We often wonder if we bite off more than we can chew, and as a person who hates to say no… I probably did.
But the absolute joy and appreciation from the beautiful clients that come through the studio doors each week are what keep me getting through those long hours.

I took on a day a week working at @kyhastudios in their beautiful showroom in South Yarra, which was a change of scenery and pace and revitalised me as a mum of two, putting me outside of my comfort zone initially, challenging me and expanding my skill set.

I honestly could not picture myself doing anything else.
It not only is my work, it is what I live and breathe, my absolute passion.
To help make other women feel beautiful on the one day that is totally for them and their chosen person is a true honour.

To our stunning brides that worked with us over the last year and beyond, thank you for entrusting us to bring YOUR vision to life, but you are actually who bought MY vision to life. And without trusting brides, Dressmaking and Such would not exist the way it does today.
