When should I begin alterations for my Wedding Dress?

 

Alterations for anyone in your Wedding Party normally begins 6 weeks prior to the date of your Wedding, to ensure you are as close to the weight you will be on the big day!

But be sure to contact with several months notice to guarantee you don't miss out on an appointment and we can plan accordingly.

Can you give me a rough estimate on Wedding Dress Alteration Costs? 

 

Unfortunately quotes cannot be given without seeing the construction of your dress, how the dress fits you and determining the best method in which to gain the best fit for your body. An obligation free Quote can be provided in an Initial Consultation.

Can you alter or make Men's Suits?

We can Alter mens suits, in fact, Dressmaking and Such loves educating men on how their Suit should fit them and showing how good they too can look with just a few small adjustments such as pant and sleeve hem shortening.

However, we do not make mens suits.

How long do Wedding Dress appointments take?

​

 

Generally 1 hour is required for your first appointment, to ensure we can discuss and pin all aspects of your dress without rushing.

Sometimes less time is required if alterations need to be done in several stages. Subsequent appointments and collection appointments are generally 30 minutes duration.

Me or one of my Bridesmaids is pregnant, when should we alter the dress?

For pregnant clients, work cannot begin 

until approx. 1 week prior to the wedding. It is important to contact as soon as possible, so arrangements can be made. We may be able to prepare the garment prior (such as let it out or add inserts) so then when it comes to Wedding Week, we can get started immediately.
